Chinese grammar has five units, i.e., morphemes, words, phrases, sentences and discourse, so the phrase is a very important part of in Chinese grammar. Phrase can be classified according to the function and structure. For example:according to the function, they can be divided into noun phrase, verb phrase and adjective phrase.With the development of technology and society, a lot of nouns and noun phrases continuously emerged, and people use nouns and noun phrases to communicate ideas, express feelings and exchange information, which shows the importance of noun phrases in modern Chinese.Both Thai and Chinese belong to the sino-tibetan language and they also have tones. Based on the language typology, they belong to the independent language which don’t have or lack of word form markers and morphological changes; taking SVO word order; regarding word order and function words as an important means of expressing grammatical meaning. Although the two languages have a lot in common, but they also have difference, especially in the word order. The phrase structure rules of Chinese and between Thai have reflected in word order.Based on the interlanguage, errors analysis and comparative analysis, this paper investigates the Thai students’ Chinese noun phrases acquisition errors. According to the characteristics of the structure and function of Chinese noun phrases, the author use the opportunity of practice teaching in Thailand to collect the student’s compositions to establish the noun phrases corpus. Through the induction and analysis of the corpus, then combined with the test questionnaire, this paper analyzes the causes of errors, and finally come up with teaching strategies of Thai students learning Chinese noun phrases.The research framework of this paper is divided into six parts:Chapter 1, Introduction introduces the research background and the present situation, the associated theoretical foundation, reference range, the research methods, and research purpose and meaning.Chapter 2, through the collected data and the test questionnaire established the noun phrases errors corpus, and make a statistics of Thai students’ the errors rate of leaning noun phrases.Chapter 3, analyzes the Thai students’ acquisition errors of learning noun phrases, combining the test questionnaire and corpus, and according to the analysis of different types of errors.Chapter 4, analyzes the causes of Thai students’ different acquisition errors of learning noun phrases.Chapter 5, puts forward Suggestions on the teaching of Chinese noun phrases.Chapter 6, conclusion.
