Calligraphy of China had extensive knowledge and profound scholarship. Each Dynasty has its own characteristic, and Sui Tang Dynasties is the important period of the development of regular script. Especially Tang Dynasty, the development of regular script went into its summit times. Four-talented Poets in early Tang Dynasty was also born in this period. This paper holds the visual angle of Calligraphic Style of regular script,cards briefly on the Development Threads and the crasis of Calligraphic Style of regular script from Southern and Northern Dynasty to early Tang Dynasty,then explores the relationship among the crasis of Calligraphic Style, the the four great families’ Calligraphic and the regular script in the Tang Dynasty..This paper takes Sui Tang Dynasties as the time slice to inspect and research on the historical process of regular script which is the convergence of calligraphic style. The so-called Sui Tang dynasty is the period from the founding of Sui Dynasty to the early Tang Dynasty(From 581 A.D to 650 A.D) which is 69 years in total. This paper was divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the research of the crasis of the Calligraphic Style of regular script’s historical origin. The writer gave a brief analysis on the formation and development of crasis of the Calligraphic Style of regular script before Southern and Northern Dynasty, the differences that crasis of the Calligraphic Style had made, as well as the causes of differences in Southern and Northern Dynasty. It drew forth the gradual trend of the spread of South-China customs into the North. Chapter two discussed the progress of crasis of the Calligraphic Style of regular script in Sui Tang Dynasties. Based on the political and economic background and the thought of calligraphers, as well as the calligraphy aesthetic thoughts of the time in Sui Tang dynasties, and the writer analyzed the reasons of crasis of the Calligraphic Style of regular script. The writer tried to find some evidence from the scriptures and tombstone. Chapter gave a research of Sui Tang dynasties political cultural background and tried to find the promote elements. Then gave an explanation of why the Four-talented Poets in early Tang Dynasty is irreplaceable. The writer gave an analysis of Ou Yangxun’s preciseness Calligraphic Style, Yu Shinan’s mellow and full Calligraphic Style, Zhu Suiliang’s witty Calligraphic Style and Xue Ji’s old and strong Calligraphic Style. At last, the writer combined these analyses, and the writer gave a conclusion of the meaning of the crasis of the Calligraphic Style of regular script in Sui Tang Dynasties.To sum up, only if we make a clear know of the reason, the way, the development and the performance, we can make a careful and thorough comprehension and full knowledge of regular script. And only if we do these researches better, we can make a better contribution to the prosperous of the regular script nowadays.
