As the important culture event of the city, film festival have the feature of cultural、commercial、entertaining, which attract public attentions. Film festivals bring the extensive and far-reaching influence to the city development.Film Festival as in the city of important cultural activities and in the cultural, commercial and entertainment attracts the attention of the public, the film festival have extensive and far-reaching impact on the film industry and urban development. And the dissemination strength of the film festival VI design plays the essential role to the film festival’s influence. Film Festival of the VI design as a carrier of the spread, in today’s visual culture form of society, to the image, intuitive, accurate characteristics, in the dissemination of information reveals the advantage of it. Therefore, the film festival needs a distinctive visual image design to its core concept completely to the audience. The film festival VI design carries on the cultural value, also carries the social value and the economic value.History of the development of China’s Film Festival from 1992 to date, the number continues to increase, species are constantly broken down, Film Festival specifications from the national government level to university level institutions diversified styles. Although the domestic film festival is constantly evolving, but in brand influence and standard aspect Film Festival held also with the internationally renowned film festival there is a certain gap. In this paper, the festival brand image VI design as a starting point, from the perspective of brand strategy analyze the relationship Film Festival VI design and urban culture, the industrial economy, and to explore the development trend of the festival from the design VI design thinking and design methods.
