With the rapid development of the society and the economy,people's living standards have been improved,which promotes the increasing demand for recreational activities so as to relax after busy work.However,under the influence of various foreign cultures,the local culture has been ignored and thus become an urgent problem.Therefore,when great efforts are being made to protect and develop the local cultures,the local cultural tourism events,as a vehicle to spread culture,come into being to meet the demand.However,most media publicity on the local cultural tourism events are still simplistic and doesn't achieve the expected results because it doesn't catch public attention with creative ideas.Therefore,if the potential tourists don't understand the given local cultural concept to be publicized,it will be impossible to forge the brand of the local cultural tourism events.Based on the analysis of the significance of the tourism events,this paper emphasized the necessity of the visual images in forging the brand of the local cultural tourism events and explored the ways of how to apply the visual image design for the publicity of the local culture.Through investigation into both the positive and negative aspects of the cultural tourism events in various places and with the use of the experience obtained in the visual image design of the local cultural tourism events,this paper proposed designing ideas and methods,namely,the design must be suitable for the local tourism resources,the design style must match the brand,the display of the local features must be combined with maximum pleasure,and the visual design must be approached from the perspective of tourists so as to offer sense of experience in brand design.This research is intended to provide reference for the visual image design of the brand of the local cultural tourism events in various types of places and thus shape the local tourism brand in a more friendly way.
