In early 20 th century, the concept of photography has eventually transferred from a type of technique into the realm of art. Just as enchanting as alchemy, photography has attracted many perseverant people to indulge in. Photography is the imitation of the world, and sometimes more advanced than painting, so photography would not only reflect the world, instead it would positively express this world. Thereby, abstract photography art has emerged as the times require, and it aims to subjectively express the world instead of being a objectively duplicate of things. From the starting point of creation or the concept of thinking in art, abstract photography art emphasizes on the expression of external form and internal meaning of the subject. It is levitated into the upper level of photography concepts, and also is the embodiment of oriental imagery aesthetics.This dissertation starts from a discussion from the origin of imagery to the development of western and oriental imagery aesthetics, to discover the potential relation between eastern imagery aesthetics and abstract photography art creation. Also, this literature would render the work of Sugimoto Hiroshi, a contemporary photography master, to thoroughly discover the aesthetics value and meaning of oriental imagery aesthetics in the creation of the abstract photography art.In the end, the author bases on his/her personal experience during the creation of abstract photography art to the share the practical meaning of oriental imagery aesthetics in creating reality abstract photography art.
