Children’s peer relations is one of the important aspects of the social development, the important role in the development of emotion understanding ability in social has been confirmed. Emotion understanding ability and the development of peer relations is the development of children in preschool period important task. Researches of the relationship between them have become a hotspot in the research of the preschool education problems. Domestic and foreign scholars from different angles to explore children’s peer relations and emotional understanding of the relationship, in order to promote the development of children’s peer relations and the development of emotion understanding ability.Selection in the past studies, the researchers of different dimensions of emotional understanding of children of different age stages the method to test the extent of the development of emotion understanding ability; In the measurement of peer relations to the children in different types of peer relations division as the standard of judging its peer relations development, although in the study all draw very different conclusions, but consistently prove that children’s emotion understanding and its correlation between peer relations. In this study, a 5-year-old kindergarten children of Dalian City as subjects, in-depth study about the relationship between the ability to understand the emotional and peer relationships. About 5 years old children’s emotion understanding ability structure content and the development of peer relations, as well as the relationship between them. Based on this, the following conclusions:1. 5 years old children’s emotion understanding ability structure includes four aspects, respectively is: facial expression recognition, views see mood, situation recognition ability and moral emotion understanding ability.2. 5 years old children’s emotion understanding and its significant correlation between peer relations;3. 5 years old children’s emotion understanding of its can be used to predict the development of peer relations; Concrete is 5 years old children’s moral emotion understanding ability influence on the development of its peer relations more significantly;4. 5 years old children’s peer relations to its understanding emotions and emotional understanding all aspects of the prediction effect;5. 5 years old children’s emotion understanding does not exist significant differences in gender, the age of five children peer relationship does not exist significant difference in gender.
