Originated in India, Mandala has had been developed and matured in Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetan Mandala art is the most representative one of all the forms of art in Tibetan Buddhism. It represents a specific place of Buddhist practice. Mandala is a typical product of both religious culture and art fusion. Mandala is not only a Tantric Buddhist art but also is a kind of common civilization symbol Because it spans a long history. This commonality is based on the tolerance that different regional civilization involved in Mandala schema. Who set the influence of different concepts of space in India, Tibet, the Han Dynasty, etc. So it has a unique beauty of art space.In this paper, on the basis of Tibetan Buddhism Mandala, collation and research by having a mandala structure characteristics of various images and buildings and objects, discusses the way of this schema on the expression of the space concept unique art,analyzes the concept of space borne out as the mandala schema of visual language. This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is mainly introduces the concept of the mandala, sculpt and space. Simply explains the significance of this article research scope, and purpose. The second part is the pandect. First of all, talking about the changes and the origin of mandala, then analysis of the reason why mandala has distinct spatial characteristics that is because it is itself derived from the architectural form. Finally the paper introduces its profound cultural background. The third part is the main body of this paper, and this part use respectively discusses method, first of all, analysis of the commonness of the mandala that starting from the plane of schema, construction, implements these three aspects, summarizes the spatial characteristics of the plastic arts expressed, before these three aspects that it enumerates the India, Tibet, Han three different region of the ancient philosophical concept of space. Analysis of these philosophical world outlook is how to embody in the mandala space form in and explore the evolution of mandala space form. The fourth part is to explore the mandala case contains the contemporary design. Analysis of the practicability of the mandala. The last part is the conclusion, throughout the paper, the purpose of summary is to explore New possibilities which this ancient mysterious and wise mandala patterns develop in contemporary artistic creation, also Pointed out that space plays an important role in the formative arts.
