Probing The Papercut Language In The Woodcuts

Chinese ancient engraving technology, that the technology to spread cultural and religious, the ancient Chinese printmaking is thus gradually evolved. On the other hand, Chinese traditional folk paper-cutting culture plays its role. Folk paper horses or modern graphic design, the paper-cut is everywhere.I am interested in the paper-cut during learning process of prints,after reading a lot of books, I try to absorb and apply the method of paper-cut shape and space in printmaking, so as to enrich my own print language.In this thesis, I talked about comparing the art of printmaking language features with printmaking by learning traditional Chinese folk art materials. Summed up both in the evolution of interactions and paper cut can make a grid point.Through learning and exploration, reflecting my own way of expression step by step. Found the problem in printmaking process. Also use the paper-cut modeling method into the watermark prints creation, in order to get better work.
