Government Protection Of Minority Culture

Guizhou is a multi-ethnic province with colorful minority culture. Culture is the nation’s blood and the spiritual home of the people. As we are building a moderately prosperous society and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation today, we must promote the development and prosperity of socialist culture. Therefore, the protection, inheritance, development of minority culture is an important task at all levels of government functions play in the process. In this paper, by using political science, ethnology, etc. to support the theory, and using the case study method and field survey on the national intangible cultural heritage- Lusheng dance "Gunshanzhu" in Zhuchang Miao Yi ethnic township in Nayong County of Guizhou Province, we learned not only the development status and protection achievements of "Gunshanzhu", but also found situations like administrative concepts of government appears backward in the protection process, dislocation, offside, not in place, etc of the functions’ playing, resulting in the loss of national culture to a certain extent. After analyzing the achievements and problems of the protection on "Gunshanzhu" of the Nayong county government, we want to give our own proposals according the transformation of the administrative philosophy, change performance concept, focusing on the functions to be effective, to adapt to the new era of cultural development pattern and improve the various mechanisms to carry out the functions of the protection of minority culture.
