| With the deepening of China’s internationalization, more and more foreign products continually enter into domestic market, and the need of Russian-to-Chinese translation in product instructions is gradually growing.The report introduces the project’s source and content, and focuses on explaining the practical and realistic significance of the content. Then, based on the project’s characteristics, the analysis and preparation before translation are presented: analyze product instruction’s text and language characteristics, formulate translating plans and procedures, and prepare for various reference books and corpus. By selecting typical examples, translation techniques such as conversion, word order processing are analyzed. In addition, the report summarizes and explains the problems of choices in word meaning and expression and corresponding solutions in translation process.Based on Safety Technical Specification of РД 153-112 ТНП-028-97-type Equipment, Instrument and Meter, according to the project content, the report aims to analyze translation strategies and techniques applied in the translation of operating instructions, and expound the problems found in translation so as to provide reference for the translation of product instructions in the future. |
