With "innovation" and "business" repeatedly mentioned in 2015 government work report by premier Li Keqiang and a wave of "public entrepreneurship" and "grass-roots entrepreneurship" set off across the country, now, the new trend-"high innovation" and "everyone innovation" is around the corner. Great enthusiasm has been invested to promote and inspire the masses in entrepreneurship and innovation by all businesses and education sector is particularly affected. We believe that art majors always accompany with innovation and innovation is the life of art students.With literature research, questionnaire, interview and other methods, this paper focuses on these following issues:innovation understanding from art students in Fujian Vocational Colleges, the current status of innovation consciousness, school personnel training objectives, curriculum, teachers’ teaching methods and other aspects. Start with the definition of relevant concepts and general understanding of relevant theories, this article, which uses questionnaire and interview survey to students and teachers respectively, clarifies the current problems for art students in creative ability of Fujian Vocational Colleges. Meanwhile, this paper draws on Germany and France Vocational Colleges in the development of art students’ creative ability, such as focusing on school-enterprise cooperation, enhancing students’ practical ability, emphasizing on personal development, strengthening the international talent exchange and attaching importance to complex personnel training.Studies suggest that schools, teachers and students should be the three entrances to develop creativity for art students of Fujian Vocational Colleges. First, schools should enhance the importance of developing students’creativity; second, clearly understanding the colleges’ roles and features in the process of developing students’ creative ability; third, reforming the relevant professional personnel training system; fourth, establishing a group of teachers who are dare to change and good at innovation; fifth, building collaborative innovation artistic training model; sixth, strengthening the combination of artistic innovation education and humanistic quality education.
