With the continuous improvement of the level of Vocational Education in China, higher vocational education puts forward higher requirements for students' practical ability. Especially for Higher Vocational Students' English learning, they pay more attention to their practical ability. Therefore, the reform of English Teaching in higher vocational colleges is an indispensable link in the reform of education. In this study, we analyze how to improve the level of Public English Teaching in the perspective of vocational ability training and improve the practical ability of higher vocational students. This paper mainly discusses the following three aspects:first, the relationship between vocational skills and Vocational Public English teaching, the relationship between public English teaching and vocational ability cultivation, and through questionnaire survey, survey and Study on the current situation and existing problems of Public English Teaching in higher vocational colleges.The innovation of this paper is to summarize the current situation of Public English Teaching in higher vocational colleges, and to analyze the problems and problems in public English Teaching in order to provide reference basis for improving English teaching level.In a word, this paper discusses the problems of Public English Teaching in higher vocational colleges. On the one hand, it is necessary to study the relationship between public English teaching and vocational skills, and how to improve students'professional ability in public English teaching, on the other hand, it provide a reference for exploring the innovation of Public English teaching mode in higher vocational colleges.
