The employment-oriented vocational colleges are important parts of universities,which take applied,innovative and service-orientated talents cultivation as final objective.If vocational education is the lubricant of economic and social development,the music teaching in vocational education will be the power source for personalized development of students,wherein,the music teachers are assistors to guide students to make progress.In face of more and more graduates as well as increasingly-prominent employment problem,it is of great importance to cultivate highquality and high-level talents.The professional quality of music teachers in vocational colleges directly affects the overall quality of vocational students.And the professional quality of music teachers is the professional knowledge,professional ability and professional emotional attitude obtained based on long-term learning and exploration.Based on these,the music teachers can solve various surprising problems for students in the music education process,enhance their own moral standards and codes of conduct.This shows that the professional quality enhancement of music teachers has positive influence on perfecting students' body,mind and personality as well as determining their three views,which is also of profound role and significance to carry out quality-based education and lifetime education,deepen education reform and enhance music teachers' quality for vocational colleges.This paper is composed of three parts: Part I contains Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.It sorts and analyze the domestic and overseas research achievements of teachers' professional quality,and determines the components of professional quality of music teachers in vocational colleges.Part II is Chapter 3.It prepares questionnaires based on Part I,makes interviews with school management personnel and teaching staff,listens to opinions of senior professors to modify the contents of the questionnaires.And then the questionnaires are released to music teachers and students for filling,besides,this part conducts analysis on current professional quality situation of music teachers and corresponding reasons.Finally,it conducts statistics on collected questionnaires.Part III contains Chapter 4 and Chapter 5.It sorts and analyzes the interview materials,summarizes the existing problems of professional quality of music teachers,and proposes countermeasures.The author starts from professional knowledge,professional ability and professional emotion,adopts methods of literature materials and questionnaire to find out many problems existed in professional quality of music teachers in Shanxi,such as Music teachers do not have a solid grasp of theoretical knowledge of education subject,music teachers lack selfimprovement consciousness,music teachers lack effective and reasonable training and other problems.Based on the above mentioned problems and challenges,puts forward to vigorously carry out induction and in-service music teachers training work,and countermeasures to strengthen the cultivation of music teachers' professional identity,promote higher vocational music teachers' professional skills with a variety of forms and to strengthen higher vocational music teachers professional accomplishment,eventually to promote higher vocational music teacher professional development.
