Based on the current C-E translation situation of business texts in Yiwu Government Web Portal (hereafter called YGWP), this thesis analyzes the typical translation problems and puts forward corresponding countermeasures under the guidance of Adaptation Theory.37 examples are selected from YGWP and analyzed from the dimension of linguistic structure, cultural and physical context. The results show that there are mainly five types of problems, including:1) poor cohesion; 2) over-rhetorical expression; 3) word-for-word translation of cultural vacant information; 4) literal translation of cultural dissonance; 5) colloquial expression. The problems arose, to a large extent, from translators’ignorance of linguistic structure adaptation and context adaptation to the target language. To make the translated version a maximal adaptation, this thesis further proposes such corresponding countermeasures as:1) to add conjunctive devices according to the semantic relations; 2) to use simple and natural expression; 3) to add cultural context; 4) to delete cultural dissonance properly; 5) to keep the target text in written style.By analyzing the C-E translation of business texts in YGWP, this thesis may help improving its translation quality and enlighten the C-E translation of the texts in the same type.
