With the progress of the times, domestic and foreign scholars begin to conduct thorough study of biography literature translation. Our Queen, as a British history masterpiece of the 21 st century, has a high historical value and literature significance. I hope the translation of Our Queen can provide a platform for Chinese scholars who study the British system of government and Chinese readers who love the British culture, including the broad intellectuals, at the same time, provide a reference for the relevant translation practice.This practice report is based on the Chinese translation of English biography-Our Queen in Chapter Eight, which mainly describes the anecdotes between the queen Elizabeth ii and her husband, and the great contribution that Duck of Edinburgh has made. Based on the "functional equivalence" theory of Nida, the author summarize and analyze the relevant issues which encountered during the process of translation. This practice report is composed of four parts: The first part is the translation task description. The second part is translation process description, it specifically describes the translating process of the biographical text from three aspects, including interpretation preparation, translation theory and text analysis. In text analysis, it analyzes the stylistic features and language style of this biography. The the stylistic features are authenticity, historicity, distinctive personalities and literariness. The third part is case studies of translation, it is the essence of this practice report. It makes an analysis of the translation methods, including transliteration, amplification, literal translation, free translation, and of the domestication and foreignization translation methods from three aspects, including equivalence translation of proper nouns, semantic equivalence of sentences and stylistic equivalence. At last, the fourth part makes a conclusion about the translation pratice, to summarize the translation practice as well as the inspired and prospect for the future work.
