Chinese idioms come from Chinese people’s daily life and reflect the history and culture, customs and habits, attitude of life and way of thinking and so on of the Han Nationality. But due to the complex characteristics of idioms, the South Korean students generate a large number of errors in the process of using. Chinese idioms have became the difficult section in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The author had ever taught the Chinese idioms in Chinese Educational Institute in Korea.In the teaching and the communication with South Korean students, the author found that most of Korean students are very interested in Chinese idioms because the vivid characteristics and profound culture, but they also avoid using the Chinese idioms because of none understanding of the meaning and usage. Based on these, this article will analysis the errors, explore the causes and put forward the corresponding teaching strategies in view of the South Korean students, in order to giving some help to the learners of South Korea.The paper will be divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction and introduces the origin of the topic,significance of research, research scope, research ideas and methods, the corpus source and the review of the Chinese idioms.The second chapter summaries the definition and characteristics of Chinese idioms from the structure, meaning, grammar and pragmatics on the basis of the predecessors’ research.The third chapter is the investigation of the errors of the senior level Korean students, and we find that the errors of grammar and meaning are large by analyzing the results.In the fourth chapter, we analyze the errors from the investigation and in the teaching.We conclude the errors from meaning,grammar and pragmatic. And analysis of causes of errors according to the learning of South Korean students and teaching of teachers.The fifth chapter puts forward the concrete teaching strategies according to the analysis of the four chapters in front.The sixth chapter is the summary.
