The general modern Chinese, including aspects of the common language of Chinese nations and modern Chinese, Idiom is used as a part of modern Chinese, and plays an important role in modern Chinese. Idiom is actually a fixed phrase used in the habit. Idioms have the following characteristics:fixed format, flexible structure, rich rhetoric, lively and vivid, profound and so on. These characteristics make the idiom widely used in modern Chinese. A central content of vocabulary teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is the teaching of idiom. Teaching Chinese as a foreign language is the cause of the country and the nation, it's good for China's outstanding foreign cultural communication, and can strengthen the international cultural communication. It also can unite the people all over the world, and promote understanding and friendship between the people all over the world. Therefore, with the development of culture, more and more scholars will focus on teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and also gradually pay attention to the teaching of idioms. Through analysis of the collected data, mainly from three aspects:the structure, semantics and pragmatic. From these aspects analysis errors that students make, and to study relative solving methods, put forward to improve the errors and several measures. The central task of the countermeasures is to keep students a comprehensive understanding of Chinese culture, when teaching idiom, teachers should pay attention on students in the teaching of Chinese culture, at the same time pay attention to language knowledge of contrast analysis, the context of idiom teaching is carried out, and in the same time focus on the pragmatic, strengthen training, make students understanding idioms from the root, and use the idioms correctly.The introduction of this article describes the definition of idioms and the literature review, the background and related conclusions are summed up. The first chapter mainly introduces the status of the idiom in Chinese, and its position in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the value of the study of the idiom. In the second chapter, through the analysis and summary of the survey results, the article sums up the types of the errors the foreign students made, and analyze the reasons of the problems. The third chapter is to find out the teaching strategies to avoid the errors of Chinese idioms. Based on collection of idioms error data were collected and analyzed, of idiom semantics, pragmatics and structure were carefully inspected, analyzes the causes of errors, and puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies, hoping this article would help the improvement of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
