Animals are the most closely related species in nature.For a long time,people have given the animal's unique cultural connotation and humanistic color through the characteristics and habits of animals,as well as the role in people's life.With the acceleration of the process of internationalization,the status of Chinese in the world is becoming higher and higher,and the Chinese English is the most widely used two language in the world.Animal idioms,as a special category,play an important role in the acquisition of foreign students whose mother tongue is English.According to the author's investigation,we found that the following problems: 1.Animals and people's lives are closely related,the use of animal idioms in English communication frequency gradually increased.2,animal idioms contain rich cultural connotation,which reflects China's long traditional culture,is an indispensable part of Chinese students in the acquisition of chinese.Current students acquisition of animal idioms in a variety of problems,such as to the meaning of comprehension and language environment not familiar with resulting in communication errors,cultural connotation of idioms don't understand resulting in difficulties in learning idioms etc..3,animal idioms learning is difficult points in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language,is also a focus.However,according to the survey,idiom teaching did not clear status of teaching and improve the teaching system,teachers and students of animal idioms learning attention degree is not high enough.In this paper,the native English speaking students as the research object,with the idiom of animal idioms as the research content to discuss.This article is divided into five chapters.The first part of the introduction part through the research background,research status,research significance and purpose,research methods and literature review on the importance of the current teaching of animal idioms.Secondly from the Chinese and English Animal Idioms definition,origin,the characteristic,the animal idioms teaching importance and classification of Chinese and English Animal Idioms comparative described Chinese English Animal Idioms Teaching the content of contrast;then mainly through questionnaire analysis of the types of errors and to find out the reason of error of animal idioms in teaching;the third chapter proposed the principle of animal idioms teaching,in the fourth chapter,aiming at the problems given teaching strategies and suggestions.The innovation of this paper lies in the scope of idiom teaching is reduced to a small branch of animal idioms,and defining the object of teaching native speaker of English speaking students.
