The Research Of Academy Cultural Display Design In China

The arrival of "Traditional Chinese Academy, has been announced during the Tang and Song to the Ming and Qing dynasties” in China; One of the most influential and contemporary artists and architects Professor Wang Shu hold the view that " if we lost the past, we will lose the future, and we will lose our bearings in the future "; the most influential Japanese architect and designer Tadao Ando also said that:”developing the Modern Architecture, and exploring the possibility- to use those things that have been forgotten. " In fact, as a cultural educational space, the academy is an important part of social system with a unique function. However, the traditional culture inherit relatively weakly. So, the display design application will reshape education functions of exhibition space as well as the spread of the Academy Cultural, the use in the exhibit design will be enhanced, which could promote the inheritance of traditional culture.This dissertation based on the above background, the Academy is a symbol of culture, and a base that doing research and dissemination, which play an important role in socio-political or cultural exchanges. This dissertation looks at the interaction between display design and Academy Cultural inheritance, and attempt to combine the achievement of actual cases, that from the History of Social Design analyze: 1. The origin and purpose of the Academy Culture, the application of Academy Culture Hall’s current situation; 2.It introduced the origin and developing of Academy, the regulation and Confucianism, the Buddhism and Classical Academy system, the Academy spirit and Moralization, and analyzed the Academy exhibition space that controlled by ‘rite’; 3. Discussing the Yuelu Academy and Hunan cultural, the spiritual space layout, the decoration and color, the consciousness of humanities, the spatial aesthetic, and based on the Yuelu Academy exhibition space reconstructed by exhibition design, that aims to combine with modern methods to make the content easily accepted by public; 4.It takes the Chinese Academy Museum for an example, from construction, decoration, display to analyze the effect of Academy Culture, that to verify the effectiveness of display design at the Academy museum, and consider the relationship with China Academy culture. 5. Taking the Academy history museum display techniques of Yuelu for another example. Based on the Academy philosophy and culture, by time and spirit timeline to create time node. To highly summarized the characteristics of Academy’s exhibition, and transformed these traditional elements to the shape, space, structure, color, etc. The Museum aims to create a “millennial institution without a break" as the theme of the exhibition, and let the audience have different emotions in the guidance of time and spiritual clues, to taste "text", "instrument", "Scholar" of Yuelu Academy, thus completing the entire design. Therefore obtaining the sublimation of emotional and technology.
