The practical teaching is a very important part in the talent training mode of higher vocational colleges. Due to the requirement and characteristics of language training, the proportion of practical teaching is very large. An important issue that language teachers face is how to make good use of teaching practice in order to develop students’ ability of using the language through understanding and applying theoretical knowledge with the help of practice teaching.This thesis analyzes current foreign language practical teaching methods. According to the requirements of practical teaching goal and the characteristics of vocational students, the author referred to previous studies and use film dubbing technology to improve the practical Japanese language teaching in higher vocational colleges, finally designed a practical Japanese language teaching mode in higher vocational colleges based on film and television dubbing technology. Then the author made some practical teaching trials in the practice course of Japanese film dubbing and made some preliminary evaluation for teaching effectiveness.On the basis of fully understanding teaching and studying situation, the author implement group study on the base of "group control" and skill guidance on the base of "Monitorial System" through optimizing teaching strategies and teaching resources, which result in the students’ learning interests and active participation, and provide a useful reference for practical curriculum construction of language teaching.In future studies, this practice can be used as a breakthrough point, and dubbing technology can be used to further optimize the students’ after-class learning, to help the extracurricular language practice for Japanese-majored students. Information technology can be used to cope with problems in the language teaching in higher vocational colleges.
