The Study On Labor Ethics

This paper focuses on the labor ethics which is the philosophical foundation and logical starting point of people’s free and all-round development:"people become decent as a result of labor". It reveals the value basis and faith of China’s road, China’s theory, and China’s system. To safeguard laborers’rights and obligations of "decent work", practice the labor logic and social fairness and justice, and achieve the growth of people’s well-being, and realize sense of labor via "let the people have more feeling of acquisition", "let everyone have a brilliant chance of life", "improve people’s well-being, promote the all-round development of human beings", is the practical requirement and ultimate purport for the research of labor ethics in contemporary China from the shared development perspective.The 30-year China’s development model of reforming and opening up astonishes the whole international community. The achievement of "China rise" can be comparable to that of Russian October revolution, the 18th century British Industrial Revolution, and the rise of America in the late 19th century and early 20th century. However, although China has become a new modern country with rich historical and cultural details, and bears strong comprehensive national strength and development potential, it is still a long-term and arduous task for China to realize the labor ethics, make labor a decent principle of the survival, breeding and happiness in contemporary China from the shared development perspective. How to manage, control and breakthrough of the multiple extrusion of the encirclement that the structural imbalance of capital and labor, efficiency and fairness, supply and demand, and the slowdown of the economic growth, the acceleration of the frequency of social mobility, the problem of aging population, increasing resources and environment pressure, unbalanced regional, laggard public service, deficient social credit, national unsecure anxiety, and lack of fairness and low efficiency, is the problems of age which cannot avoid and the logic of reality which must be followed of the construction of contemporary Chinese labor ethics system.As the ethical basis for the shared development philosophy, labor ethics is not just an economic problem concerning wealth creation and benefit distribution, but also a widespread social problem concerning cooperation between capital and labor. Moreover, it is an ethical question concerning man’s all-round development and happy life. With an aim to construct an ethical system from the perspective of shared labor development, this thesis explore the majors problems of current labor ethics field in our country, and illustrate the meaning of labor ethic from different dimensions of labor factors, labor process and labor value, in order to restore ethical significance, sanctity and ethical spirit of labor.The thesis consists of seven parts. The introductory part expounds labor from sharing perspective, and discusses about present situation, significance of labor ethics research, and presents the main ideas of this article. The first chapter discusses about the major problems, such as the nature of the interest game between labor and capital, the purpose entanglement between fairness and efficiency, the paradox between labor nobility and laborer lowliness, in the current labor ethics field in our country. The second chapter lays the theoretical basis of whole thesis. It focuses on the clarification of the concept, connotation and forms of labor and labor ethics, and interprets the thought of labor ethics, with Marx’s alienation labor as the logic starting point, and people’s free and all-round development as the value criteria. The third chapter explains labor ethics from the perspective of labor elements, and attempts to answer these questions, such as "who supports whom, capital or labor?", "the development of science and technology is liberation or abandonment of labor?", and "management is constraint of laborer or security of freedom?" etc. The fourth chapter explains labor ethics from the perspective of labor process, and makes ethical examination of career choice, professional labor, and postponed retirement in the three (pre-labor, in-labor and post-labor) stages. The fifth chapter explores labor ethics from the perspective of human beings’value realization degree via labor, and discusses about the dual character of labor value (self- oriented and other-oriented), echelon value of survival, life, development of people relevant to labor ethics, and value relations concerning happiness and labor, labor and exchanges, labor and the ecology. The conclusion part summarizes the outlook of the project with the title "to share the development of decent labor". Decent work is an ethics form with more profound ethical connotation and insightful ethical spirit. This thesis advocates the practice of decent work, just in order to make the concept of shared development really take root.
