In recent years, Chinese Fever is becoming more and more manifest and the Chinese language is gradually promoted around the world, and at the same time, more and more people are becoming Chinese teachers. As a special group of this staff,new teachers have to adapt themselves to their new job as soon as possible. To become a successful Chinese teacher, one must work hard on improving one’s teaching skills, while to use the proper teaching language in class is a magnificent part of one’s teaching ability. However, considering what is going on in real-life class, new teachers using casual and inappropriate language is a quite often seen phenomenon. For new teachers,how to teach a class with proper language is something they desperately need to learn. Thus, a study on new teachers’ teaching language could be of practical purpose.By taking record of new teachers’ class and watching the video of their class, the author has written down, word by word,what they have said, and of which this paper keeps a written account. After that, this paper will carefully analyze the problem in new teachers ’ teaching language, and makesuggestions accordingly. In particular, this paper consists of six parts.The first part of this paper is introduction, which clarifies the research meaning of this topic and recommends former researches in this field. Also this part introduces the research contents, subject and means of this paper and the sources of the corpus.The second part analyzes new teachers’ performance on teaching language in every single category of them.The third part analyzes the problem existing in new teachers’ usage of teaching language according to their performance.The forth part makes suggestions about how to use the rightful teaching language in class for new teachers.The fifth part is conclusion, which concludes the viewpoint of this paper and points out the shortcomings of it.
