A Research On The City In Ganqing Ning Region During The Han Dynasty

Through summarizing the history and present research of the city in Ganqing Ning Region, we can see that the study is mostly concentrated in the historical geography. Archaeology has not now been researched deeply, and no scholars take the city site in in Gansu Qinghai Ningxia as a whole. On one piece of individual zones, the number of city site in existed research is far less than that in the current report.So I firstly collect the city information from Heritage Atlas, archaeological reports, etc. In all of the city, there are 168 which can be counted according to the area. Through statistical analysis, the city is divided into four categories, large city site, medium-sized city site, small city site and especially small city site. Besides, I also make some statistical analysis to the city planar shape, wide base walls, gates and other facilities. Finally, the city information is for data with GIS. I get some understanding by analyzing the relationship between the city and the elevation, slope, and river buffer.The city in Ganqing Ning Ningxia region as outpost points of conflict areas, reflects the central government’s policy on the frontier. A deep study of the cities in the region, will contribute to understanding the process of the formation of a unified multi-ethnic country.
