Personal Expression In The Art Of Sculpture

Each piece of art work can more or less reflect its creator’s personalities. Since ancient times, the art of sculpture is inextricably linked with that of opera, and a great number of ancient delicate sculptures which represent certain dramas can be found in Chinese culture. This paper aims to show the personal expression in the art of sculpture by conducting researches on sculptures of the opera and drama type. Production technique is an integral part of this process and the production of pottery sculptures belongs to one of those techniques. In this paper, by exemplifying primitive folk sculpture techniques, a better illustration of the production process of opera sculptures is shown. Creators decide traditional Chinese culture as its creation inspiration and production techniques, thereby, these two forms of art can be a integration and have a mutual impact on each other, which will motivate cultural development and inherence.
