Objective:This study was used with the questionnaire to survey the rural clinic staff in Shijiazhuang city. It aims to understand the mental health status of the rural clinical staff, to analyze the factors which affect their mental health status, and to find the way which could improve their psychological health, the humanistic care and social support of the grassroots medical staff. So it can give priority to protect them. We might apply this method to solve the problem of their mental health. Methods:This study adopted the method of cluster random sampling, using the self-made questionnaire about the personal basic conditions, Symptom Checklist 90(SCL- 90) and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) to survey the extracted rural clinic medical staff for the whole group of tests. In this study, 1168 questionnaires had been sent and 1080 effective qustionnaires were collected. The data were recorded with Excel 2007 software and analysed by SPSS22.0 software. Results:(1)The mental health status of rural clinical staff. In this study, 1080 effective questionnaires were collected, of which more than 253 questionnaires were from village doctors in Shijiazhuang city. They may be mild and have psychological symptoms of pain. It was accounted for about 23.43% of the valid sample. Positive detection rate of the top three is the force, others and depression.The detection rates are 17.41%、11.30%、10.83% respectively. According to the result of Symptom Checklist 90(SCL- 90) and the literature data, the overall mental health level of rural clinical staff in Shijiazhuang city(120.10±34.72 score, the positive detection rate is 11.00%) is better than national adult norms(129.96±38.76 score). And it’s better than the mental health of some rural citizens’ level(the positive detection rate is 27.20%). It’s also better than the level of some clinical staffs in community and some city hospital’s level. But it’s worse than the staff in health clinics(116.67±29.77 score).(2)Based on sociodemographic characteristics, healthy lifestyle, the situation of work, social support, we compared the different groups with the mental health. The mental health of elderly people(111.34±28.34 score) is better than the non elderly group(123.36±36.29 score).The mental health of families which are incomplete(112.48±25.46 score) is better than the family which are a complete one(120.84±35.41 score). The mental health of people who don’t have the chronic disease(113.77±28.05 score) is better than those who have the chronic disease(132.87±42.54 score). The mental health of the people who often take exercises(114.65±29.44 score) is better than the people who do not(125.91±38.77 score).The mental health of the people who get high social support(115.35±28.34 score) is better than the people who do not(127.74±41.96 score).(3)The influential factors of rural clinical staffs’ mental.. Using the way of mltivariate regression analysis, the main factors are age, health, alcohol consumption, physical exercise, the status of leaders’ attitude etc. The following factors: gender, marital status, family types, medical school experience, qualification for work, income level, the number of diagnosed one day, don’t have the statistical significance. Conclusion :(1)The mental health level of rural clinical staff in Shijiazhuang city is better than national adult norms, some rural citizens’ and the level of some clinical staffs in community and some city hospital’s level. But it’s worse than the staff in some health clinics. So the mental health of the staff in health clinics’ is better.(2)The influence factors of mental health in rural clinical staff are the age, physical health, whether has the bad habits such as drinking, smoking, whether often take part in physical exercise, the attention leaders paid to and the social support.(3)We suggest that the health care training and intervention of mental health are useful to improve the level of mental health. And we can advocate the healthy life style in rural clinical staffs. What’s more, the positive evaluation is given to their usual work. So it can do better to the mental health of the rural clinical staff and improve the level of physical health.
