Play Music With Life

The author was admitted to the China Conservatory of Music in 2009, has been learning erhu with Professor Song Fei till today. During the learning process of the past 7 years, as a student and a spectator witnessed Professor Song Fei carry on countless potential excavation, challenges and teaching practice on the students. For the erhu playing and teaching and the knowledge and understanding of music, The author has a different angles, at all levels and all aspects of learning and exploration. Also The author has a certain understanding and researching about Professor Song Fei’s playing and teaching ideas, methods, purpose, which it is definitely not just about learning music itself. In the other words, in the Professor Song Fei’s idea, music is equivalent to living, equivalent to life.This paper is summarizing Professor Song Fei has what unique concepts and methods, and even in music teaching, to enable students to complete self-oneness with music, to appreciate music and life, it is based on Professor Song Fei’s guidance on four students, for each person’s characteristics, from various aspects and angles during their process of preparing the concert. In the paper, the author only from their own learning, seeing, hearing, understanding of Professor Song Fei in the teaching concept of research and discussion.
