Japanese historian, Shiratorikurakiti (1865-1942), is the forerunner of Oriental history in Japan. He devoted himself to establish the academic system of Oriental history.His research results is the indispensable references and has had a profound influence in academic world on East Asian history and Asian history.His research based on literature textual research and carried on the positivism of Rankean School.He created the study of positivist historiography in Japan.Focusing Shiratorikurakiti’s studies of history on China,especially Chinese ancient history, he instituted two basic rules as "North and South dualistic theory " and " denial about Yao, Shun ang Yu",and analysed carefully with the knowledge of philology, astronomy, mythology, geography etc. It is conducive to know Shiratorikurakiti’s view of Chinese ancient history that we interpret these two basic rules.Taking an overall view of his academic career, Shiratorikurakiti’s view of Chinese ancient history has far-reaching effects not only on Japan but also on China.
