A Translation Report On On The Development Of Low-carbon Economy And Low-carbon Energy

Each of us has much to do with the environment.A low-carbon and healthy life is gradually being noticed and welcomed by people.In today's society,although we can see the slogan of “low-carbon” everywhere,our concept of low-carbon is still not specific and clear.The material of this translation practice report is titled On the Lowcarbon Economy and Low-carbon Energy Development,a paper published in Social Sciences in China in 2012.The original text first made the reader understand the specific meaning of low-carbon,and then described in detail how to develop lowcarbon.The development of a low-carbon economy can be achieved completely through market mechanisms.Therefore,it is a major task that translators should pay attention to accurately presenting the status quo of the environment in China and the world and the measures taken.This paper combines the environmental issues and some related knowledge of economics with a unique perspective and gives the reader an eye-popper.However,according to the data provided by China Knowledge Network,parallel versions of foreign languages on the low-carbon researches are rare,and so is the translation of such texts.Therefore,the translation of this text can be referenced by more domestic and foreign economists,international students learning economy and enthusiasts in the economic industry.My translation practice report is divided into five parts.Introduction,which mainly introduces the purpose and significance of translating this text.The description of the translation task,mainly introduces the content of this paper,which has positive significance for readers to understand the knowledge of low carbon.The process of translation,which mainly includes learning relevant knowledge of low-carbon and economy,reviewing and correcting translations.Application of translation theory and the analysis of the case of translation,which is the focus of the translation practice report.Taking into account the specific situation of translation,the author analyzes the key and difficult issues,such as adjectives,verbs,long sentences,attributive clauses,and omission sentences,as well as translations in two aspects: vocabulary and sentence.The last is a summary of translation practice.Through this translation practice,the author's obscure translation,lack of background knowledge,deficiencies of basic language skills and cultural cultivation have resulted in many difficulties in the translation work.At the same time,the author realizes that it is important to look for authoritative dictionaries and focus on translation and polishing.
