A Report On The Translation Of The Lean Six Sigma Guide To Doing More With Less: Cut Costs, Reduce Waste And Lower Your Overhead(Chapter 12)

The translation material, CREATE A PIPELINE OF COST IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS: The Secret to Protecting the Heart of Your Business, is the 12 th chapter of The Lean Six Sigma Guide to Doing More with Less: Cut Costs, Reduce Waste and Lower Your Overhead. This chapter mainly describes how to create a pipeline of cost improvement projects in Lean Six Sigma process.The translation report is based on this translation material, including four parts. The first part is the description of translation task, which includes the material resource, the brief introduction of the author and the book, as well as the meanings. The second part introduces the translation process, consisting of the preparation for translation, the difficulties as well as the checking, polishing and confirming. The translator has read the translation material for several times and referred to several books on Lean Six Sigma management. During the translation process, the translator adopted literal translation as well as free translation. After finishing the translation, the translator revised the work several times with help of supervisor and classmates.
