Gender role types and Intimate relationship quality of college students has their own unique characteristics. In order to further clarify the relationship between the gender role types, copying styles and intimate relationship quality of college students. The research targets 933 College Students, adopting Chinese college students’ sex-role inventory:50 items, Coping Style Questionnaire and Intimate Relationship Quality Questionnaire, respectively, surveying the psychological condition in college students’gender role types, coping styles and intimate relationship quality. The situation of the whole on the basis of analyzing the differences of demographic variables, among the correlation analyzing and regression analyzing, the conclusions are as follows:(1) In all subjects, distribution of college students’gender role types is as follows: androgyny (35.4%), masculinity (13.9%), femininity (17.8%) and undifferentiated (32.9%). All college students and love experience students have no significant differences in the gender role types’distribution.(2) Gender role types of college students have significant difference in gender and grade; Coping styles exist significant differences in grade, specialty, whether the only child and parents’ marital relationship; Intimate relationship quality have significant differences in grade and love duration.(3) There exist significant differences between Immature coping style, mixed coping style and gender role types. Androgyny Individual and immature coping style was significant negative correlation. Undifferentiated and immature coping style, mixed coping style were significant positive correlation. Undifferentiated could predict immature coping style and mixed coping style, respectively, explaining the amount of 3.1% and 1.5%.(4) There exist significant differences between Gender role types and intimate relationship quality. Androgyny individual was significant positively correlated with intimate relationship quality; undifferentiated individual was significant negatively correlated with intimate relationship quality. Androgyny and undifferentiated could positively predict intimate relationship quality. Which together explain the intimate relationship quality of 4.2%.(5) Mature coping style was significant positively correlated with intimate relationship quality, and could positively predict to it; immature coping styles, mixed coping style were significant negatively correlated with intimate relationship quality, and could negatively predict to it. Which together explain the intimate relationship quality of 7.9%.(6) Immature coping styles and mixed coping styles have a partial mediator between gender roles types and the intimate relationship quality, the effect is significant. At the same time, androgynous and undifferentiated still have a direct influence to the intimate relationship quality.
