The Impact Of Relationship Belief And Coping Style On The Intimate Quality Of Undergraduates Couples

With the development of cognitive study in intimacy, the cognitive structurerelationship belief has become the focus. Due to the differences of relationship beliefindividual acts and experiences variedly. We verify influence of relationship belief onintimate quality and coping style, as well as the mediating effects of conflict copingstyle.In a word, we try to investigate the relationship among undergraduates’relationship belief, coping style and intimate quality.We chose131couple of lovers, both of whom completed a pair of questionnairewith same code. Then we started data entry and dyadic analysis with SPSS19.0andgot conclusions as below with factor analysis, correlation analysis, linear mixedmodel and APIM.（1）Female’s destiny belief has a significantly negative influence on the satisfactionand consistency of their intimate relationship, while male’s destiny belief affectadversely on quality, satisfaction and consistence of total their intimate relationship.For male or female themselves, their destiny belief has negative effect on partner’stotal quality, satisfaction and consistence of intimate relationship.（2）The male’s neglect-one of coping styles impacts negatively on their satisfactionof intimate relationship. For female, their partners’ neglect-one of copying styles has asignificantly negative influence on female’s satisfaction of intimate relationship. Formale, their partners’ exit-one of coping styles passively affect on male’s satisfactionof intimate relationship.（3）Female’s destiny belief positive impacts on their destructive coping style (exitand neglect), while male’s destiny belief only has a influential positive function onexit-one of coping styles.（4）For male, their neglect-one of coping style plays a partly mediating role in the relationship between male’s destiny belief and male’s satisfaction of intimaterelationship and female’ exit-one of coping style was a partial mediator in therelationship between female’s destiny belief and male’s satisfaction of intimaterelationship.
