Jing Hao wrote in his Notice on Techniques of Writing:Surmise images and take the truth. "Truth" refers to true scenery, true thinking and true self, which is also the ultimate aim of Chinese landscape painting creation. In the meantime,Jing Hao also mentioned "six elements":spirit, rhyme, thought, scenery, pen and ink. In the author’s point of view, the relationship between "thought" and "scenery" is extremely important to creation, which usually plays a decisive effect in works’conception, obtaining truth and emotional expression. This thesis first of all centers on the creation mode of Chinese landscape painting combining "thought" and "scenery" and carries a relatively systematic research on the origin of Jing Hao’s "theory of thought and scenery" as well as the inheritance, exertion and development on this basis; secondly, the thesis conducts studies on the exertion of "theory of thought and scenery" in personal creation practice, trying to realize the complete expression of the combination mode of "thought" and "scenery". Later on, the author compiles the researches into a thesis so as to record his study process of Chinese landscape painting creation and comprehensions.
