During the last five years, the China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum (CAMCF) has become an important event of increasingly regional significance. In order to improve the cooperation in the mining industry, the 4th Session of the 2015 China-ASEAN Mining Personnel Training Program was held on its 6th anniversary in the Department of Land and Resources of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The program is designed to provide important guidance for the exchange and cooperation among mining talents between China and ASEAN countries in the future. The interpreter was responsible for the consecutive interpreting for the whole program, which enabled the interpreter to gain sufficient research data. The interpreter recorded the whole program in order to keep track of the whole interpreting process and maintain the authenticity of the research. As for the structure of this interpreting project report, focuses are laid on five aspects, including task description, preparation description, case study, post-interpretation summary and conclusion. It is hoped that this research can provide some references for relevant studies on interpreting and interpreter training. Firstly, under the guidance of Gile’s "Effort Model", the author attempts to find out coping tactics in case of unexpected deviation from written text from speakers; secondly, with reference to the "Comprehension Equation", the author endeavors to improve interpretive comprehension and reproduction for illogical, grammatically flawed speech segments and strong accents of speakers. Then the author tends to use the "Deverbalization" to analyze the true intention of speakers and try to find out coping strategies; in addition, in the light of Sperber & Wilson’s "Relevance Theory", the author strives to understand speakers’ intention so as to improve the efficiency of communication; finally, a self-evaluation is made after the task is completed.
