Construction Study On "X Nar Y Nar"

The construction“Xnar Ynar”is the special performance of non-interrogative usage of the interrogative pronoun “nar”. According to the theory of construction grammar, its structural formula of variable characteristics, types of constructions and constructional meaning were studied in the article. And on the basis of them, the pragmatic function and forming reasons of the construction “Xnar Ynar”were on discussion. There are three parts in this article: the introduction, the body and the conclusion.The introduction mainly described the object of study, the significance of the topic and the research methods, and the main object of study was strictly defined. The body part including chapterⅡto Chapter VI: the relevant researches which were at home and abroad were given a detailed record in the second chapter, on the one hand, the domestic pronouns researches were consolidated. On the other hand, the construction grammar theoretical researches at home and abroad were done a brief description. ChapterⅢexamined the features of the variables Xand Ywhich are in the construction "Xnar Ynar", the number of syllables and the meaning characteristics were mainly studied. At the same time, the construction to the repression effect of constant "nar" was also discussed. On the basis of Chapter III, Chapter IV gave more details about the construction " Xnar Ynar", through quantitative analysis to the collected corpus, and the structural formula of typical forms and constructional meaning were revealed. The fifth chapter analyzed the pragmatic functions of the construction " Xnar Ynar", revealing the structural formula of pragmatic presupposition, also investigated the structural formula of the pragmatic features.We believe that the construction " Xnar Ynar" is capable of expressing a distinct subjective modality, it is the focus of the sentence which showed the economy principle of language. Chapter Ⅵdiscussed the formation motivation of the construction "Xnar Ynar". The interrogative pronouns "nar" syntax and "nar" with the tightening of sentences worked mainly. The last chapter is the conclusion part, which summarized and mentioned when it comes to the shortcomings of the innovation of this article.
