Cotton textile industry is not only the pioneer of British industrial revolution, but also is a pillar industry, the export trade of cheap and fine cotton textiles is an important way of commodity dumping and capital accumulation in England. Since18th century, the cotton trade around Manchester in Lancashire in the northwestern of the Great Britain,which as an important industrial town and trade center, developed and expanded all over the world.Domestic scholars have not yet research on the development and change of the cotton textile trade,and foreign scholars have long enough took attention in cotton textile trade,but they have not condensed view to Manchester, therefore, the selected topic has certain research value.In this paper, the main structure is divided into the introduction part, conclusion and main body, the body part contains the Great Britain cotton textile industry production and development situation, the raw materials of cotton textile industry imported into Manchester,the cotton manufactured goods sold from Manchester and the historical influence of Manchester cotton textile trade.The introduction part mainly expounds the perspective and significance of my choice, the current domestic and foreign research situation of cotton textile trade, and the various original documents, which is the basis of the thesis research books and papers.The first chapter is the Great Britain cotton textile industry production and development situation. This chapter introduces the origin and cotton textile industry from east to west transmission process,spread to England by Netherlands protestants. With the development and prosperity, mechanical inventions breathed new life to the cotton textile industry.Because of the unique advantages of the British which are political economic system derived from the national action, protect private and encourage commercial law, and excellent geographical location suitable for industrial development, since 18th century the great cotton textile industry developed around Manchester.The second chapter is the raw materials of cotton textile industry imported into Manchester. The paper distinguishes from source and use of different kinds of cotton, expounds that imported cotton in different periods in Manchester area and change trend. The point are the way of important of cotton wool trade way and distribution link of it, buyer brokers and sold brokers concentrated in places such as Liverpool are the only medium of importers, dealers, weavers, importers sold cotton wool by auction, and Manchester dealers could bought cotton from auction or through the Liverpool cotton dealers.this is the mainly way of Manchester cotton important trade.In addition to cotton, linen yarn is other kind of import part of raw materials.The third chapter is Manchester cotton textiles manufactured goods trade.
