A Reflective Research Report On The E-C Translation Of Bidding Documents Of Kenya Power Engineering Project

This reflective research report is based on the translation of the Bidding Documents of Kenya Power Engineering Projects(JULY, 2014, Kenya Power and Lighting Company), aiming to introduce the basic content of an average bidding document and provide something for reference for other translators.The translator had some difficulties in the translation process, and after analyzing them, the translator has solved them using some kinds of methods and strategies, and all of them will mention in the paper. The translation is the first Chinese version of the report.Bidding Documents are formal business documents. The translator needs to have enough skills and methods for translating as well as some knowledge of electric power. In this translation report, the translator summarizes the key points and difficulties she met in the translation process by using some translation strategies and methods, such as those in the translations of words and sentences. Using all the methods and strategies can display the characteristics of a bidding document and provide references and experience for other translators when they translate bidding documents.
