The Research On Chinese Characters Teaching For Foreign Students In Primary Class

Chinese character teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, its importance has been gradually cognized by people,but in the actual teaching still lagged behind the development of listening and speaking skills, especially in primary class, Chinese character teaching didn’t get the attention it deserved.Due to the limitation of subjective and objective conditions at home and abroad,the Chinese character teaching for foreigners in primary class setting the separate characters class is relatively less, now it is mainly under the comprehensive course of Chinese teaching. comprehensive course involving Chinese characters teaching content is very less in Confucius institute of Burundi university, even without Chinese characters teaching in the primary class. If Chinese character teaching problems in primary class are not solved well, they will become the bottleneck of Chinese learning, So Chinese character teaching for foreigners, especially in primary class, must be gotten enough attention.To this end, effective countermeasures for Chinese characters teaching should be put into practice:we must improve teachers’ professional quality;stimulate students’ learning motivation and learning enthusiasm; promote comprehensive course teaching textbook paying attention to the teaching of Chinese characters,and compile mating exercise for comprehensive course;Teach Chinese character in accordance wit h the characteristics and rules of Chinese characters, attach importance to the teaching of the stroke, stroke order, parts, the whole word and structure;Take full advantage of text context in comprehensive course and choose teaching methods that are suitable for students, properly ap plying facsimile and repeated copying and other traditional teaching method, to promote the level and the development of Chinese characters teaching.
