With the continuous development of Chinese teaching, culture introduction is getting more and more attention. There is a huge cultural difference between China and Burundi. As the only one to promote Chinese language and spread Chinese culture, Confucius Institute at Burundi University must attach more importance to Chinese culture introduction. However, the current status of culture introduction in primary stage is not optimistic in Confucius Institute at Burundi University. Students in primary stage knew little about Chinese culture. Teachers didn't take culture introduction seriously, and practical operation was insufficient. Besides, the cultural content in the textbook was not researched enough, and the method they used was relatively one-fold. Faced with these problems, we recommend that teachers strengthen culture introduction: import Chinese teachers of Chinese culture: improving teachers' own sensitivity to culture, increasing the content of culture introduction, and optimizing the method of culture introduction. It also suggests that increasing students' interest in Chinese culture: By holding cultural lectures, get a general knowledge of students' interest in Chinese culture; By organizing cultural activities, narrow the distance between students and Chinese culture; By promoting go-to-China project, enable students to pay more attention to Chinese culture. At the same time, it is recommended to teachers that having in-depth study on textbook, and then designing cultural projects.
