The preparatory students’ education has its particularity in Shanghai normal university, they have difficult in studying Chinese writing. Among the four Chinese language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, it is writing that is the weakest point for preparatory students.Writing strategies refer to the methods and plan applied in writing, as well as sensation they put into writing. Effective writing strategies can improve the writing ability of preparatory students. It is meaningful to research the topic of the students’ writing strategies.In this paper, we analysis the preparatory students they use the writing strategies on the basis of investigation for the shanghai normal university. The preparatory students on frequency of each writing strategy. In order to distinguish the preparatory students before writing, writing, writing after three dimension often use what strategies. Analysis the preparatory students are influence of choosing writing strategies, such as understand the correlation between writing strategies and writing achievement, the article will select out high group and the low group to comparison.Finally, in this paper, the author made a summation for Shanghai normal university preparatory students. I from the perspective of teachers and students, give some constructive suggestions. Students are affected by many factors, such as gender,age, cultural and so on. Motivation, enthusiasm, will affect the level of students. Their aptitude is the most appropriate. The guidance of teachers and students in the Chinese writing strategies, more attention should be paid to step by step, focused. The students should targeted use Chinese writing strategy to improve writing ability.
