Since ancient times, China has a broad and profound diet culture, which has a profound influence on Chinese vocabulary. Therefore, it is quite common in the daily life of food and diet. The diet predicate is an important part of the predicate, and it is also the important and difficult point in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. The learning and application of the diet predicate can not only improve the Chinese communicative competence of foreign students, but also make the students have a better understanding of the long Chinese diet culture. Therefore, the teaching of the diet predicate needs to be paid attention to in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The words made of diet predicate are high frequently used in the Chinese people’s life, because that food culture occupies a very important position the Chinese in traditional culture. When foreign students coming to China, they first from the Chinese diet simply understand Chinese people’s daily favorite food and make a glimpse into the Chinese diet culture. This likely will become one of the driving forces that the students love China and want a more in-depth understanding of Chinese culture.From the two directions of views:the world economic, political and cultural development and China’s current development, the Chinese language will go to the world. The comprehensive promotion of Chinese can better promote the communication between China and other countries, because that the soft power of the culture by language is more far-reaching and long-term than the economic, political and other strength. Diet culture is the case, which is an important part of Chinese culture. Therefore diet predicate learning becomes more and more important. It in a certain extent not only vigorously promotion Chinese but also to strengthen the cultural exchanges between China and other countries. The foreign students in love Chinese food culture also falls in love with our Chinese, certain functions to promote Chinese development.This article selected diet and adjectives from the "Chinese language proficiency test program", and then listed these verbs and adjectives produced by idioms, and then to analyze. The first part of this paper is the introduction, which introduces the purpose, significance and methods of the study of the diet. The second part of the HSK from the selected diet class predicate, to be compared and analyzed. The third part through the questionnaire survey to understand the situation of the study of the learning of these diet types of verbs. In the fourth part, it puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the foreign students to learn more about the diet of the predicate. The two or three and the four parts are the focus of this paper. The second part selected ten cooking verbs, six dietary action verbs, seven taste class adjective. Then their interpretations in three dictionaries:"Modern Chinese Dictionary", "Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary" and "XinHua Dictionary" were compared. Analysis of three of the dictionary explains the similarities and differences. Then lists the phrases and idioms which are made up of these predicates in life, and analyzes these phrases and idioms. In the third part, I arranged a questionnaire survey, a total of twenty questions and above related to these commonly used diet class predicates and idioms, a class of intermediate stage of Anhui University of China School of foreign students were investigated. The survey results were analyzed in detail, and the errors in the diet of the students in this class were summarized. Besides, the causes of errors were analyzed in detail. In the fourth part, I made a statistics of the diet predicates in the set of textbooks "Chinese course", then put forward some suggestions in the compilation of teaching materials. At the same time, some suggestions were also made on what kind of teaching methods can be used to teach foreign students to learn more about these diet predicates.
