Language serves as the carrier of culture, in turn, culture and language reinforce each other. MTCSOL(Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) should place a high importance on both language teaching and cultural course. At present, the Chinese culture practice course has been offered in MTCSOL. Therefore, in teaching process, there are some successful experiences that are worth being sorted out and concluded and many problems to be solved in terms of the knowledge and positioning for the course, allocations of teachers in teaching practice and adoption of teaching methods. The paper will conduct research and study with the above topic as the objective and purpose of discussion.The paper first explains the situation from the perspective of “ general surface ”, namely, the State education departments have classified and analyzed the relative policy and standard set by international Chinese language education and the present situation of this course establishment in the domestic universities on the basis of research. And then, the paper continues to analyze from the perspective of “ point ”, namely, the research and study are conducted on the basis of the situation of establishing Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in the universities of Chongqing. And the survey has been completed among the relevant teachers, students in China and international students with research methods like typical questionnaire, visiting and data analysis in the light of the goal of establishing the course, teacher conditions, teaching methods, teaching contents and teaching effects. Thus the analysis and study on the topic will be done with “ surface and point ” integrated.Research found that the State has played the role of teaching reform in revising training program and the standards for teachers of Chinese to speakers of other languages, which further gives prominence to the course and makes the positioning of the course teaching more clear-cut. All these have shown the high importance put on the education of cultural factors and the ability of culture practice, as well as the corresponding policies and requirements. However, in teaching practice, course construction and MTCSOL still stay at the initial stage of development, so the spirit of courageously exploring and diligently pioneering are manifested in the course establishment at the initial stage, for example, the course that is offered in the three universities of Chongqing enjoys a variety of characteristics and advantages, including strong feasible teaching contents, flexible practicing forms, open teaching methods and teaching site. That being said, there are something to be immediately improved, for example, the course system should improve its systematicness, and other aspects should be improved including course objective, teaching methods, course content and structure. But the problems on the specialized and full-time features of teaching staff are even more urgent to be resolved.On the basis of research and study, the paper has put forward some suggestions that the school-based curriculum is established and an enabling environment of excellent cultural experience is built as a way to improve the Chinese culture practice course.From that, the paper is designed to strengthen the construction, reform and development of the Chinese culture practice course in Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages based on the research and study from macroscopic and microscopic perspectives.
