Chinese school overseas is an important way of Chinese teaching and communication, which refers to part-time or spare-time Chinese education organizations mainly when it comes to Europe. Chinese teaching has certain historical and social foundation in Netherlands, due to a long history of Sinology. Netherlands has a population of less than 20 million meanwhile owns more than 40 Chinese schools, of which the oldest one has gone through almost 40 years, playing a sighnificant role. It has practical significance and scientific value to do a research on them. Large-scale, representative Chinese schools are chosen to conduct the survey, in order to find out how the internal governance and external environment factors contribute to the sustainable development of those schools. Suggestions are given in corresponding.This paper is divided into five chapters—Introduction, summarizing the research background, stating the significance, research methods and ideas, listing literature reviews; chapter two gives a brief introduction on Chinese schools in Netherlands, and summarizes from several aspects, such as school building, teaching materials, teachers, school funding and social impact; the third chapter analyzes the development factors—external environment and internal governance, including education demand, policy support, organization communication, community relations, governance structure, and teacher development, etc.; the fourth chapter analyzes the data collected on over 150 students from 3 schools to find out its specific advantages and disadvantages and puts forward some suggestions; chapter five is the conclusion, which summarizes the research, innovation and deficiencies of this paper, and suggestions for further research are proposed.
