Harmony Of The Heaven And Man Of Zhang Zai

Zhang Zai, as the founder of the Northern Song Dynasty Neo-Confucianism,his philosophy provides theoretical framework and research direction for the establishment and development of Neo-Confucianism and has influenced the thoughts of Cheng brothers and Zhu Xi. Zhang Zai’s philosophy research has also been a hot and difficult in the study of Neo-Confucianism, and such as ontology and cosmology in his thought, theory of "transformation" has been the focus of academic research. So the idea of " Harmony of the Heaven and Man " as the theme to breakthrough zhangzai’s whole philosophy system is a more effective way of thinking, to tease out the relationship between each category and position in the “Harmony of the Heaven and Man”,then find the theory basis by classics study.In this paper, four chapters to elaborate the “Harmony of the Heaven and Man” ideology of Zhang Zai’s philosophy system.First, expound the culture background and theoretical basis of Zhang Zai’s philosophy to find the theory background of “Harmony of the Heaven and Man”.Second, expound the Cosmology of “Taixu is Qi” by analyzing cosmic structure,biochemical mode,“Taixu”,“Taixu is Qi” and criticizing Buddhism and Taoism. So we can understand the basic of his philosophy and his effort to restructure Confucian ontology.Third, expound his theory of nature and mandate. To find the basis of “Harmony of the Heaven and Man” by analyzing the concept of Xing. Then reaches the approaches of Ming : from construing the concept of Xing, and finally get the necessity and possibility of “Harmony of the Heaven and Man”.Fourth, expound the theory of Gongfu to find the math to “Harmony of the Heaven and Man” from two-way effort approach of “Cheng Ming” and “Ming Cheng”.This paper holds that the " Harmony of the Heaven and Man " ideology of zhang zai is a complete theoretical system, he provides a metaphysical root for " Harmony of the Heaven and Man " and establishes contact between Heaven and Man.The math is establishes ontology and cosmology and xingming theory,so he absorbs theory of Zhouyi and The golden men and establishes new theory of Confucianism. At the same time,he mixs“Xinxing” of Mencius and Li,Praxis theory together,then putting " Harmony of the Heaven and Man " into the field of practical life. Thus he builts a huge system, profound and rich implication of the harmony theory.
