The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2015 was held in Da Lian from September 9th to 11 th, 2015 with more than 1,600 government officials, successful businessmen and noted scholars participating in this forum and making in-depth exchanges and communications. A session entitled “Future-Proofing the Internet Economy” of the Annual Meeting was chosen as the source speech of the simulated English to Chinese simultaneous interpreting, based on which, the reflective report was completed. In this report, the author introduced the whole process of the task and analyzed the problems, causes and coping tactics in the interpreting with examples with the application of the Danial Gile’s Effort Models.According to the audience’s feedback and self-assessment, two major problems:misinterpreting and information loss are pointed out. They are caused by the words and sentences with dense information that increases the available processing capacity requirements of all the Efforts. The coping tactics comprise changing the order of elements, delaying the response and so on. The analysis is hoped to contribute to the improvement of the author’s interpreting capability and provide references for other interpreting practitioners.
