The Collection And Study Of Zhao Mengfu’s Inscriptions Calligraphy

The whole article is mainly do the research on Zhao Mengfu’ s calligraphy artwork on the stone, who was born in the Yuan Dynasty, try to arrange and analyze Zhao’s features, style origin and evolution, as well as inscriptions wrote, volume seal carved with other problems. A substantial number of Zhao Mengfu’s calligraphy artwork on the stone, up to more than 200,until now we can find it on the stone, rubbings, or ink paper spread nearly a hundred pieces. This information is of great value for the study of Zhao Mengfu’s calligraphy and Yuan Dynasty history, but has not aroused the attention of scholars. After the arrangement and statistic, I went to Beijing, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang do on-the-spot investigation and find that:Zhao Mengfu Book monument not only the time span is long, wide geographical distribution, and rich in content, but have the combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and many important writers in the Yuan Dynasty. The regular script, running script inscriptions mainly takes the method of Jin and Tang Dynasty, in inherits the<jiwangshengjiaoxu>, the calligraphers like Li Yong, Su Lingzhi based on the calligraphy foundation to form their own style, dignified and fruity stretch; in a certain extent, make a echo with the style of school in Tang Dynasty. From the view of the process and the method of tablet, tablet was first written on paper Zhao, then copy it on the stone and finally engraved. Although this method has appeared in the Tang Dynasty, but in a tiny span of use, until Zhao Mengfu, this method was popularized. In addition, the author also generalize the inscriptions wrote, volume seal and sculptor to provide necessary basic data for future study on Zhao Mengfu.
