A Study On Semantic Factors Of Qualitative Adjectives In Mandarin Chinese

Dictionary interpretation is the core work of compiling dictionary, and the content of interpretation is the key of dictionary interpretation. The current study of qualitative adjective is still in traditional stage, and it focuses more on research of interpretation methods, but the research towards content of interpretation is relatively little. So this is mainly aimed at the drawbacks of way of traditional interpretation and based on modern semantic theory, from the aspect of microscopic analysis of glosseme, we study about semantic factors of glosseme of qualitative adjectives.So this paper is based on glosseme of qualitative adjective as closed domain. We use the theory of lexical semantics to analyze the microstructure of glosseme of qualitative adjective, and through quantization, statistics and analysis, we sum up the distribution information about semantic factors of glosseme of Chinese qualitative adjectives, and we attempt to resolve the problem of inaccurate and irrational interpretation of qualitative adjectives, in order to better improve the interpretation methods of qualitative adjectives and compilation of Modern Chinese Dictionary.This paper can be divided into five chapters, and the contents are as follows:The first chapter is introduction part. It mainly introduces research studies of qualitative adjectives and interpretation of semantic factors and background of this paper and the value, significance, object, theory, material, methods and basic ideas of the research.The second chapter is to establish glosseme system of qualitative adjectives. It mainly introduces how to select and establish the glosseme of qualitative adjectives. Based on the comprehensive nature of the choosing the glosseme of qualitative adjectives, in this chapter we fully use glosseme analysis theory and based on the theory of glosseme, we give the standard of concept of glosseme of qualitative adjectives in this paper. And based on glosseme’s demarcation, we determine the source of the sample glosseme and finally extract glosseme system of semantic factors.The third chapter analyzes the semantic factor of qualitative adjectives. It is mainly about quantitative and qualitative analysis of semantic factor of qualitative. Based on the analysis of the drawbacks of traditional interpretation methods, we point out the necessity of study of semantic factor of qualitative adjectives, and through the deep micro-analysis of the glosseme., we know the distribution and species of semantic factor of qualitative adjectives, pointing out the function of semantic factor in interpretation of the words the role and the current interpretation problems of the semantic factor of qualitative adjectives.The fourth chapter analyzes the optimization model of distribution of semantic factor of qualitative adjectives. It mainly introduces that based on the principle of same field and same model and we extract qualitative adjectives on the basis of semantic field, and then we work out the distribution table of semantic factor of qualitative adjectives’ semantic field which provides a reference for future lexicography.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. This chapter is to summarize and conclude on the whole. This article describes the deficiencies of the study and future research can be extended in this paper.The innovation of this paper; current researches on the interpretation of qualitative adjectives mostly remain at the macro level in the form of interpretation, but there are no microscopic study of internal interpretation. Unlike previous studies on the qualitative adjectives in the form of interpretation, study of semantic factors of glosseme of qualitative adjectives in this article is based using semantic theory to study deeply for glosseme microstructure. By quantitative and qualitative analysis of selecting glosseme with sampling, we obtained 22 kinds of semantic factors, which can not only provide a theoretical value for the study of the interpretation of the qualitative adjectives, but also can provides a new angle for the future interpretation of the words.
