Qualitative adjectives are different when working as adverbial. Considering this difference, adverbials can be divided into two categories, A and B, aslo called active adjectives and inactive adjectives. Qualitative adjectives which fall into category A mostly have【+active】and【+intended】semantic features, qualitative adjectives which fall into category B mostly have【-active】and【-intended】semantic features. Besides, category A adjectives, which can be used as adverbials also have certain difference in the dependence of the mark"de".There are three forms of adverbial which is made of qualitative adjectives: qualitative adjectives ,"qualitative adjectives+de", and"qualitative adjectives+(de)".Finally, reasons of the appearance of"de"is discussed.
