As we all know, teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages not only teach students knowledge and skills, but also spread the Chinese culture. Especially for advanced Chinese learners, who hold strong willings to learn Chinese culture afrer basic language and skills. However, most of the cultural teaching relied on language teaching, few schools establish special course of culture for learners. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen research of related field to make language teaching and culture teaching promote each other, so as to help learners improve Chinese ability effectively.Tea culture, as a representative of Chinese culture which fused the thoughts of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism perfectly, not only impacted on the food culture deeply, but also impacted in the field of language and culture. The study of tea culture in China has a long history, but most of them focus on the history of tea culture, tea set and the cultural connotation, we rarely see the study in the perspective of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages. Based on this, I made the course design and teaching study of Chinese tea culture from these following parts:First chapter is the introduction of the research background and significance, status quo and purpose of research and the summary of previous studies, which help expound the necessity and feasibility of this thesis.The second chapter used Japan, South Korea, Britain, Russia and India as representative countries, summarized the similarities and differences of their tea culture and the influence of Chinese tea culture on them through the introduction of Chinese tea culture communication history, clarified the development context of tea culture’s spread.The third chapter gave several writing suggestions of Chinese tea culture course’s textbook based on the study of existing textbook’s situations.The fourth chapter combines the requirements of tea culture in the international curriculum for Chinese language education, made preliminary definition of tea culture course’s teaching object, planned the framework and content of the tea culture course,introduced the selection of tea cultural with four units in the course, in the last, made detailed description of teaching process in tea culture course by the teaching plan of Chinese tea ceremony(3).The fifth chapter analyse two effective teaching methods of audio visual approach and objects teaching to help the real tea culture course’s teaching.The sixth chapter summarized the whole thesis, hopes that by the course design and teaching study of Chinese tea culture in this thesis, helping learners get a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and promoting communication ability.
