On the long and turbulent historical stage of modern China, Liang Qichao was, with no doubt, a significant figure who has a great influence on the past and the present. His unique personal disposition and different ways of thinking inspired him to propose the advanced thought in the field of literary education. His thoughts of utility and aesthetic, constant change and invariability, honoring teachers and esteeming truth seemed to be paradoxes but relatively unified under his historical environment. The literature educational thoughts he put forward, such as, cultivating political talents, promoting new national education, advocating the “three virtues” and family education with love, not only promoted the social, cultural and political transform of modern China, acquired the reputation from all walks of life, but also had profound guiding significance for the development of modern society.This thesis gives a deep elaboration of Liang Qichao?s literature educational thoughts through studying on four dimensions: the formation, the concepts, the thought features and the significance of Liang?s literature educational thoughts. This thesis aims for expounding the development and the intrinsic value of Liang?s literature educational thoughts progressively by combing history line and summarizing the features of the thoughts, refining the essence of microcosmic practice and macroscopic theory, along with the discussion of Liang?s theory and the judgments of its modern significance, so as to bring valuable enlightenment on the present cultural education.
