In this paper, the research object is the dramatic symphony --Romeo et Juliette, which composed by the Romantic Period French composer, Hector Berlioz. This study investigated with creative thinking as the starting point, to explore the embodiment and mixture of the two kind of creative thinking, the symphonic creative thinking and the dramatic creative thinking, in this work. Trying to make a comprehensive interpretation of the work, and showing the historical role and significance of Berlioz symphony creation, even the whole development of symphony genre at the same time. This paper is divided into four chapters:the first chapter is introduces the general situation of the work though three aspects, the creation background, the difference with Shakespeare, the drama content and music structure of each movement. The second chapter is the theoretical interpretation of the starting point, mainly discusses the common meaning of "symphonic creative thinking" and "dramatic creative thinking" in the historical context of the late 18th Century to the first half of 19th Century. The third chapter is the analysis part, which is based on the theory of the second chapter, to peel, analysis and demonstrate the respective embodiment of the two kind of creative thinking in the work, and to explain the ways and results of the fusion of the two creative thinking.The last fourth chapter, is focus on the causes and significance of the special creative thinking in this work.
